First off, I haven’t fallen off the edge of the Earth, although at times, it’s felt like it.
In my ongoing effort to not become one of those authors who starts a book series and never finishes it, I’ve kept my nose to the grindstone recently, focusing on the actual writing part of my author journey. But I thought I’d drop a few quick lines here on the blog to give an update on what I’ve been up to.
As you may or may not have already heard, the Fallen Odyssey series was intended to be four books. That plan, however, fell apart when the manuscript I wrote for Book IV turned out to be over 1,100 pages long. As a result, that manuscript has been revised and split into two books, tentatively titled Book IV: Children of the Fallen and Book V: The Cycle of Aurym, both of which are releasing later this year.
Both of these books will be released on the same day, because I'm not going to keep my readers waiting any longer than absolutely necessary. That said, releasing both books at the same time is a massive undertaking, so I sincerely appreciate your patience.
There will be more swords and more shields, new magic and new monsters.
Characters will live. Characters will die.
There's even a cyclops.
A preview of Book IV is currently live on Patreon.
I can't wait for you to see how this story ends.
